I enrolled Ayz in gymnastics a few months ago. She loved it! And she had her last class the other day, so they let us bring in cameras to record it all. Check out her skills:

I finally downloaded all my videos from the camcorder to my pc. Lucky you! Here are some from the papalote children's museum in Mexico City- we took my dad there when he came to visit last month.

About once a week, we have a dance party before bed. Tonight was one of those nights so I thought I'd video a bit and show off my kid's dance moves. T's is called the "monster dance" (you can hear him saying it in the vid). I tried to get him to stand up, but failed. The kid is so fun to watch!



And Ayzha tried a bit of breakdance and a cartwheel. I bet you're asking yourselves why you don't do this at your house! Time to start, my friends.

T man

A post about my mini man is long overdue. We're tackling potty training with him right now, and week two is going pretty okay. Well, I guess I should say it really depends on the day. He'll go if I take him, but he has yet to tell me himself when he needs to go. I don't know if it's because he lacks the ability or the attention span- or maybe a little of both. My sis in law had a spectacular idea of how to potty train (that she should seriously write a book about), but it didn't work with T, so we're going cold turkey. Diapers to undies in one day.

This is T's "happy face." It often gets him what he wants. It's best when he's been crying and then he does it.


Big Boy in his skivvies! And he's sporting his new red 'stache he wears almost every day due to a special treat daddy brought back from the states.


Chillin' with the muchacha. This is the first pic I've posted of Carmen. Oh! How could I live without her? My floors would be very dirty.

Here is T using some girly vocabulary. His speech has gotten better, even though it's still mostly gibberish- he no longer has a stutter! And he says "poo-poo, ca-ca" after almost everything. Even after "amen." And Reyn's laugh in this vid is great, too.

africam safari

Yes, I know it looks wrong, but I promise it's spelled "Africam'" not "African." We had the debate in the car and couldn't figure out why, either... so don't lose any sleep over it! Anyway- 2 hours away in the city of Puebla lies a safari zoo full of wildlife you can see while you drive in your car. A little bit of Africa in, well, Mexico.


Popocatepetl, in all it's volcanic beauty, stands approx. 17,500 feet above sea level. On a good day you can see it in the city, and from Puebla it's quite radiant.


Due to non-stringent seat belt laws, Reyn got to see most of the safari from this point of view. Don't think horrible of me- I promise we never exceeded about 5 mph.

I know it's blurry- but I had to include this picture because it's a bear! Right there next to us!


A lot of my pictures have parts of the car in them. I know it's not pretty, but I did it on purpose to show the proximity of the animals.


Ayzha's favorite- the white tigers. We were happy to finally reach this exhibit, because that meant we didn't have to hear anymore questions about when we were going to see them.


This donkey stopped in front of the van for a while, then when Ben tried to pass him, he came and stuck his head in my window.

Ben was terrified it was going to bite him while he was looking at the camera. Ostrich are pretty freaky birds, you know.





After the drive-through, we went to petting zoo. I was really excited to see how my fearless one year old would react. She didn't disappoint.
